Iranian film ‘The Home’ (Ev) is slated to be screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) in Japan.
Directed by Asghar Yousefinejad, the film will vie at the competition section of the 30th edition of the festival.
‘The Home’ narrates the story of a dead man who has made his will to dedicate his body to medical studies.
However, his daughter disagrees and the whole film revolves around the challenges the girl has with those who try to take the body.
Established in 1985, the TIFF would be held biennially until 1991 and annually ever since.
Along with the Shanghai International Film Festival, TIFF is one of Asia's most important competitive film festivals, and the only Japanese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations based in Paris.
The 30th edition of the Japanese event is slated to be held from October 25 to November 3, 2017.
